Chancellor of the Exchequer, Jeremy Hunt, delivered his first Spring Budget on 15 March declaring it was “A Budget for Growth.”
Welcome to our Spring Budget 2023 summary. Our overview begins with forecasts from the Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR). We then run through the main key points of this budget. With some particularly good news for Pension savers.
Jeremy Hunt’s fiscal update included a range of new measures, some of which had been widely trailed prior to Budget day, in order to achieve growth “by removing obstacles that stop businesses investing; by tackling labour shortages that stop them recruiting; by breaking down barriers that stop people working; and by harnessing British ingenuity to make us a science and technology superpower.”
As we move closer to the beginning of the new tax year, now is a great time to review your finances and make sure that you are using all the allowances available to you from 6th April 2023. As always if you have any questions or comments regarding this update please do get in touch. We would love to hear from you.
