Quarterly Financial Bulletin – Autumn 2020

In our final quarterly bulletin of 2020 we cover a range of financial topics to keep you informed.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, in this quarter’s financial bulletin we assess the impact of the pandemic on the UK and beyond. We begin by discussing whether or not Coronavirus was foreseen, as some critics are saying. Or are we living through a ‘black swan’ event.

We look at how the pandemic is signalling the demise of cash in our society. Along with how dividends have been impacted, at least in the short term. What kind of investor are you? We discuss investor behaviour in times of uncertainty and the benefit of putting a financial plan in place to follow particularly when things are volatile.

We look at the changes that have happened with ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) investing and the rise in popularity in this area.

Finally, with the release of the Q2 data over the summer, we are now in a better position to assess the full impact of COVID-19 on the global economy and where we see things heading in the forthcoming months.

As always – if you wish to discuss any of the areas within our newsletter, or your wider financial planning then do let us know.
