Financial Planning Week

7-11 October 2019

Financial Planning week is upon us again. This is an campaign hosted by the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) to raise awareness of the value that financial planning adds to your life. Its not just for people who have never thought about their finances, it’s for everyone, whatever your situation.

Investment Solutions is supporting the week by offering free financial planning sessions and advice to provide a helping hand in achieving financial well-being and life goal planning. These free, one-hour, one-to-one, confidential sessions worth up to £500, are being offered by CISI CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM professionals between 7-11 October.

What is Financial Planning?

Financial Planning is an ongoing process to help you make sensible decisions about money which can help you achieve your goals in life.

Its a six step process:

  1. Establish your goals
  2. Gather Data
  3. Evaluate your current position
  4. Develop a plan
  5. Implement your plan
  6. Monitor and regularly review

We begin by establishing what your goals are in life. This could be anything from making sure you have enough in retirement, to investing for your children. We look at your current situation. Any existing plans you have in place and how much you can afford to save towards your objective or goal. We then look at developing a bespoke plan according to your needs. This is then presented to you so that we can ensure you are happy with the solution and understand everything we are recommending you put in place. Finally we look at implementing the plan and monitoring it regularly.
