Our team has a wide variety of experience, skills, and specialist knowledge.  Part of our process is to get to know all about you but, first, here is a little about our team.


Ivan Lyons FPFS, Fellow & Chartered Financial Planner, Managing Director

 

Ivan has worked in the Financial Services industry since 1990 and has gained a great deal of experience dealing mainly with high net worth client's needs in the areas of pensions and investments.

He holds the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate and is a registered Chartered Financial Planner, making him one of the top 5% of advisors in the country. He is also a member of the Personal Finance Society.

Ivan is a keen long distance runner and his aim is to complete one hundred marathons by the age of 50 years. His marathon running has raised thousands of pounds for local charities over the years.

David Connor Investment Solutions

David Connor, APFS, Chartered Financial Planner,                        Chartered MCSI, Director

 

David has been a wealth manager for private clients and trustees for over twelve years.

David has a deep knowledge in tax efficient investments - as such his financial expertise is sought by Solicitors and Accountants advising their clients on investment strategies to help with mitigating income, capital gains and inheritance tax.

David is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments, as well as holding the Chartered Insurance Institute Diploma in Financial Planning.  David is also a member of the Personal Finance Society.

In his leisure time David enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, as well as surfing here in the UK and abroad.

Angus Willson APFS, Chartered Financial Planner

 

Angus qualified as an Independent Financial Adviser in 2002.  Holding the Chartered Insurance Institute Diploma in Financial Planning, and a member of the Personal Finance Society.

Angus has recently joined Resolution, as an affiliate member to work alongside other legal professionals working within Family Law. With his pension experience, Angus particularly specialises in pension transfer cases.

Leisure time is a luxury when you have two young children, but when he does have a few hours off Angus keeps fit playing football, swimming in the sea and cycling.

Jan Kinghorn APFS, Chartered MCSI                                                 Chartered Financial Planner & Investment Research Manager 

Jan has worked in Financial Services since 1994, having begun her career at Aon Consulting.  Jan joined Investment Solutions in May 2012 and provides advice to clients in respect of investments, pension planning and inheritance tax planning, as well as providing advice to trustees and those holding Power of Attorney.  

Jan is a member of the Personal Finance Society and an affiliate member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP). She holds the Advanced Diploma in Financial Services as well as the specialist STEP Certificate for Financial Services in Trusts & Estate Planning. 

Outside of work Jan is a keen keep fit enthusiast and enjoys circuit training and running.  Her other interests include travelling and Scuba diving.

Alison Lane BSc (Hons) APFS, Chartered Financial Planner

Alison has worked within Financial Services since 2001.  Holding a degree in Politics and Economics as well as the Chartered Insurance Institutes, Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning.  Alison is a member of the Personal Finance Society and has assisted the local Sussex Institute with meetings for other local advisers to help with their continued professional development.

Alison achieved her Chartered status in December 2016.

Specialist areas of advice are: Investment and Retirement Planning.

In Alison's spare time, she is kept busy with a young family but also finds time for walking along the Sussex Coast and enjoys culinary challenges in the kitchen.

 

 

 

Mark LLoyd DipPFS, Senior Financial Adviser

Mark has been in the financial services industry since 2002 and as a financial planner since 2011.  He specialises in all aspects of Corporate and Individual Pensions, Investment and Inheritance Tax work and is very passionate and enthusiastic about his work and profession.  This experience and the fact that he has worked in all aspects of financial services allows him to take a practical and holistic view of any issues that arise and to give clients the best possible advice.

He holds the Diploma in Financial Services and is currently working towards the Advanced Diploma with the intention to continue on to become Chartered.

Sarah Brine CertPFS, Operations Manager

Sarah has worked in the Financial Services industry for over 31 years having initially worked for Royal Sun Alliance and Standard Life for over 20 years and joined Investment Solutions in 2011.

With a great deal of experience assisting clients and financial advisers, Sarah's role is to manage business operations and administrative support so our clients can be confident of receiving prompt and effective customer service at all times.

Sarah is currently providing Investment Solutions project management services to help implement some exciting changes to benefit our clients.


PARAPLANNING TEAM

The para-planning team consists of Rafael Garcia-Hernandez, Cara Nicholas, Anthony Bakirada and Oliver Suter, with Rafa being the Para-planning Team Manager.

Rafa, Cara and Anthony all hold the Diploma in Financial Planning and Oli has recently attained the Certificate in Financial Planning.

Rafa has been with the company since 2013, Oli from 2015. Cara joined in 2016 and Anthony joined early 2017.

They are responsible for all the product and fund research and producing recommendations.

ADMINISTRATION TEAM

RECEPTION & SECRETARIAL TEAM

 

 

The administration team consists of Sarah Brine, Sophie White and Sarah Rumsey.

Sarah B has been with the company since 2011, Sophie from 2004 and Sarah R has joined the team in 2016. Sophie is the Administration Manager.

They are responsible for processing all the new business applications, as well as servicing the existing clients with any type of request that is required.

 

 

 

Kim Sharp has been at the company since 2008 and is on reception and produces the client valuation reports.

Jessica Deedat-Nettell joined the company in 2017 and as well as covering reception is our main typist for all client correspondence.
